Your teardown reminds me of when I was a kid, breaking down anything that had magnets in them, in a quest to build a perpetual motion machine using those magnets xD
I tried some dumb ideas first, like sticking one magnet on to a hotwheels car with a paper harness stuck with another magnet that repelled the one on the car. To my disappointment, it didn’t move forever :D That’s when my dad told me there’s this thing called Newton’s 3rd law :D Fast forward to high school, after learning some physics, I sketched many contraptions based on Lenz’s law, maglevs and even air pressure but I never tried making them, maybe it’s time to start that quest again. haha :D

I know quote some adults who still believe in free energy generators. I always advice them to try it ;)
